Wat Arun's central prang is a tall, stepped cone surrounded by smaller spires, while the Grand Palace contributes layered roofs, finials, and low ceremonial buildings. Behind those historic shapes, a few glass towers rise from a broad, flat urban horizon. The skyline is more decorative than Kuala Lumpur and less dominated by a single pair of skyscrapers. If you see thin temple points, sloping roof tiers, and a riverfront city with occasional high-rises, choose Bangkok. The contrast between low royal architecture and scattered modern towers is the signature, especially when the central prang stands apart.
